Tomorrow Night...

This is VERY short notice. However, I am having a gathering for my birthday tomorrow night. Please do not show up before 8pm. This is the other thing...we are pretty much broke. So, this will be a B.Y.O.S. party (bring your own...stuff). Basically, bring whatever you want to eat and/or drink. I hope everyone understands. Please comment this entry to confirm attendance. It would be great to see you all.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention...I am having a surgery on Monday to determine if I have leukemia (among other things). It is a bone marrow biopsy. I will get the results a week later. Basically, if it is positive for the c-word, it will be one of two things. If it is acute, I will need a bone marrow transplant. If it is what they call chronic, I might have had it for a while. It would be treatable with medicine. However, it probably would turn acute in a decade or so.

Don't you just love how I just added that in.

I am somewhat surprised at myself. I usually would keep something like that to myself.

Also, going to see Tori Amos Saturday night...WOO HOO.

I can't believe it's been over a year since I've been on LJ. Well, it's probaly been the same since I've been on Myspace. Well...what to say.
I was able to get Depeche Mode tix for the day after my birthday...Woo Hoo!!! The best part is Nissan Pavilion is just up the road from my house (more like a 20 minute drive).

I actually saw a bee today. I was quite excited. That may seem silly to some. However, the bee population is extremely scarce. Think about it. When was the last time you saw a bee?

Anyhoo, I have restored both of my yahoo e-mail accounts.

Also, I am losing weight. The thing is I really need to do is exercise. I hate it so. I do realize that my weight would come off even more if I did exercise. Ugh... I'm supposed to start working out with a neighbor of ours. We'll see how it goes.

I would love to say that I'll check my mail every day. I don't even check my snail mail everyday. However, I will check it every few days (I hope).

At any rate, I'm glad to be back on LJ. I hope to hear from you soon.

So, since my last post...I've had a birthday and become married! More about like and such as later...

I was wondering if anyone out there is going to the Tori Amos concert on Friday. I am eagerly trying to obtain at least a program and possibly a t-shirt for the show. I would appreciate it more than you know. This would be the first nearby Tori Amos concert I haven't been to since 1995. I tried to obtain tickets the very minute they went on sale and the accessible seating apparently went first. I find that hard to believe, but you never know. It's possible that non- disabled people are buying up the accessible seating, thinking that the seats are first row. It sounds deplorable, but I've seen it at many concerts I've been to before. Anyhoo, let me know ASAP!!!

Act two: I was thinking (wait...cheesiness on the horizon...) of having a Tori Amos party at my house the night of the concert. Those who know me know that I have a vast collection of Tori paraphernalia. I would enjoy sharing this lot. If anyone at all is interested, please let me know ASAP. Even if you aren't a major Tori Amos fan and would just like to hang out or party, let me know. It's been too long since our last non-wedding related party!

Also, I think I'm becoming addicted to grocery shopping.  I have been to the grocery store approximately seven times in the last 10 days (...surprise honey!!!). Many excellent meals have come out of these unnecessary trips to the grocer. However, the money dispensed was surprising as well as an instrument into the fantasy of my culinary delights! Woo hoo!

My band is having a kick-ass show on Saturday, the third of November. Details to follow...

Well, here I am on the internet, when I should be doing laundry. I feel so damned lazy. I want to go back upstairs and lay down. Soooo lazy...

My baby girl is laying beside me on the floor. Patiently waiting for Mommy to move her ass.

Not only am I lazy, but I'm bored also. That's a bad combination.

I had fun this weekend though. We had friends over Sunday. We cooked out again yesterday (albeit the new charcoal was a bitch to light). I don't look forward to going back to work tomorrow. That's funny too, because I actually like my job.

Anyhoo, I will start to write more often than every 3 1/2 months. Thanks to all that are listening...

Gothiccripple was admitted to Prince William Hospital last night. I took him to the ER around 7:30pm. They decided to keep him in for a few days. If all goes well, he should be able to come home tomorrow or Sunday.

I fully appreciate and am in awe of the amount of support I/we are receiving. Thank you. The situation is truly fucked to be honest with you. I don't really know what more to say that doesn't include ridiculous details which I've already stated that I don't care to include at this time. I have chosen not to out of respect for the other party. I do really wish I could let my heart bleed out and tell at least one person everything that has occurred. However, I'm actually concerned about how that would make the other party look. I hope this is appreciated. Some would say, fuck it.

I can say in response that the people closest to you do understand. However, one has to think about how far they will allow themselves to be pushed.

No one really truly knows what has gone on between us (mostly) behind closed doors. I am sure there is quite a bit of speculation. Believe me...things are not always what they seem...or don't seem.

Gothiccripple and I separated this evening. This will hopefully be a temporary thing; however, I honestly don't know whatthehell right now. There are a great deal of variables involved...some of which you may or may not know and none of which I care to share. Talks aren't so informative right now...so we'll have to see...

Damn it...

On another note, I made a kick-ass dinner tonight. It was one a had planned on making last week, but never got around to it. Funny I picked tonight. It was baked chicken lightly coated in a Japanese mayo and curry powder mix and coated in (I added seasoning) panko (japanese coarse bread crumbs). The two sides were 1) stir-fried vegetables and 2) baby red mashed potatoes boiled in chicken broth and mixed with a bit of cream cheese, which was then topped with hand-crumbled bacon and chopped green onions. It was pretty damned good.

I am tired as hell. I should have my ass in bed, but I still need to put a load of clothes in the wash (to be dried in the morning before leaving for work), and walk the little one...and all before waking up @ 5:30am or so.

Anyhoo, I purchased the new Lacuna Coil album recently and it's pretty good. I was itching to get some new music anyway. I'll have to catch up and buy previous albums.

Has anyone heard the new Rob Zombie album? I definitely want to get that soon as well.

Well, yet again, I don't really have anything of substance to say that I actually want to relate in a public forum. It's unfortunate...

I'm pissed off that I can't really speak with anyone about certain matters without hurting the feelings of and making the persons involved look bad. How's that for a run-on sentence? It pisses me off that I care enough not to talk about something to a third party. Why? Perhaps it's because I'm a little tired of putting myself off. Even still, I wonder if that in and of itself is selfish...and why do I care? It pisses me off that I've rewritten and then erased entirely the previous paragraph that you'll never see because I don't feel like letting my heart bleed in front of the whole lot of you.

Well, I purchased my NIN tix for Nissan Pavilion this morning. I was able to get excellent seats also! WOO HOO!!! I can't wait to see that show again! I only saw NIN for the first time last year!

Well, my little girl has her last series of vaccinations today at the vet office. I believe visits will only be once a year now. She's playing with her Kong filled with treats right now. I really enjoy my time with her. I believe she enjoys it also. She is a wonderful companion...not only man's best friend, but girl's best friend too. You may know, but her name is Luna. I have a billion pix of her that I would like to post. However, I believe you have to have a picture hosting site or something. Is that right? If I can set up something like that, I'll let everyone know.

As far as this weekend...my uncle is kind enough to come over tomorrow morning and fix some drywall holes in the bathroom and (hopefully) the bathroom cabinet. In addition, he's bringing over a carpet shampooer so I can clean the carpet. It definitely needs it.

Speaking of tomorrow, would anyone be interested in a movie night at the house? I've got popcorn...including Jiffy Pop (the awesomest), Cinnabon Popcorn (which we've dubbed "Crack Corn"), and some other crazy flavors. We also have a few movies we've wanted to see for a while, but haven't had the chance to yet. Let me know.

Conscious Structure is still doing the final mixes of the new album. It should be done very soon and we should be touring again by June. I believe I announced this before, but we now have a live drummer! He's awesome and has both acoustic and electric drum kits. I cannot wait to share the new material with everyone!!!

Anyhoo, that's all for now. I'm not feeling well. I think I'm going to lay down. However, I don't really like lying around and not doing ANYTHING. Especially when I know there's so much to do. Knowing me I'll probably fold laundry instead of just resting as I should. Well, Smell ya later...
